Selangor United Football Club is a Malaysian football club based in Hulu Langat, Selangor. The club currently play in the third-tier division in Malaysian football, the Malaysia FAM League.

The club has been renamed from Persatuan Bolasepak Melayu Malaysia to Persatuan Bolasepak Melayu Selangor or PBMS starting 2017 Malaysia FAM League season.[1] They were rebranded again as Selangor United for the 2018 Malaysia FAM Cup season.[2]

History

Persatuan Bolasepak Melayu Malaysia or PBMM entered the Malaysian football league competition in 2016 season.[3] The club is managed by the PBMS, an affiliate association of PBMM. The club finished 2016 season in seventh place.

Starting from 2017 season, the club has been rebranded to Persatuan Bolasepak Melayu Selangor or PBMS as an effort to bring in local area support.[1] The club has managed advanced to second round of 2017 Malaysia FA Cup after defeating SAMB.[4][5] However, they were knocked out from the tournament after a defeat of 0-3 against Perak.[6]

PBMS has utilised one primary crest since the club participation in the national level football league competition before the club introduce a new crest starting in 2017 season in order to solidify its new branding.[1]
