Program history
The basketball program in its current state began in 1976, although a women's team had existed at the school in some form since 1898 (when the school was Oregon Agricultural College).[3] From the 1940s through the 1970s, the team had existed as a club under Oregon State's Women's Recreation Association (WRA).[4]
The team posted a 5–20 record in its inaugural 1976-77 season. At the start of the 2016–17 season, the team's overall record was 612-555.
