The Order of the Islamic Republic (Persian: نشان جمهوری اسلامی, Nešān-e Jomhuri-ye Eslāmi-ye ) is Iran's state decoration of honour, established 1990, awarded by President of Iran to foreign nationals .[1]

It comes in three classes:

  • 1st Class - sash with gold star, for heads of state and prime ministers
  • 2nd Class - with silver star, for other ministers
  • 3rd Class - breast badge with a ribbon, for ambassadors.
