The eastern striolated puffbird (Nystalus striolatus) was considered conspecific with the western striolated puffbird (Nystalus obamai)[2][3]

Amazonia Lodge - Peru

It is found in Amazonian Brazil and Bolivia.[4]

Its natural habitat is subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests.
