Northern Lights is a 2016 British drama film tackling anxiety disorder in teenagers. The narrative follows 'Emma who approaches adulthood, she tries to live an ordinary life and keep up with her late mother's expectations. However, her anxiety weighs over her, stopping her from enjoying the last few youthful years.'

Critical reception
Reviews for 'Northern Lights' were mixed, including a ★★★★ review from UK Film Review (Chris Olsen) calling it 'A beautiful piece of filmmaking'. [2] Critic 'Jennie Kermode' for 'Eye for Film' gave the film a more critical review with a lower rating of ★★★ saying 'Grady's performance is a bit more hit and miss but she has a strong presence that suggests she could do impressive work with a more experienced director.' [3]. 'Screen Critix' (Carl Burgess) gave the film ★★★★[4], while 'TMFF Awards' compared the film to a 'Lana Del Rey meets David Lynch dreamscape'.[5] Mark Cousins (Writer for Sight and Sound Magazine) said the film was 'So mature and touching'.[1]
