Nigerian Prisons Service

The Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS) is a government agency of Nigeria which operates prisons. The agency is headquartered in Abuja,[1] and it is under the supervision of the Ministry of Interior.[2]

As of 2014 it has 240 prisons.[4] 155 are prisons for convicts and 83 are satellite facilities.[2]
