New River (South America)

New River

The New River is a river of South America in Guyana. The river rises in the Acarai Mountains and flows north-east to the Courantyne River at the border between Guyana and Suriname

It is part of a border dispute between Suriname and Guyana, known as the Tigri Area or New River Triangle.
