Navalpakkam is a small village located in Vandavasi taluk in the Tiruvannamalai district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu known as S Navalpakkam and 'S' stands for 'Shotria'. It is famous for its Srinivasa Perumal temple established by srinivasachariar and subsequently developed by his son ayya kumara thathachariar who is rajaguru of thanjur nayak king. This srinivasa perumal is being managed by the shrotriumdars of navalpakkam village. The village is famous for Sanskrit scholars, and it is originally agraharam of the said shrotriumdars. Shrivaishnava Brahmins originated from this village and settled throughout the world. The annual "utsav" (festival) for the Lord Srinivasa is widely celebrated.
