Đàng Trong (塘中, "Inner Land"), also known as Nam Hà (南河, "South of the River"), was an area of Vietnamese southwards expansion, later enlarged to become Cochinchina, during the 17th century Trịnh–Nguyễn War.[1]
Đàng Trong was ruled by Nguyễn lords. It was bordered by Đàng Ngoài along the Linh River (modern Gianh River in Quảng Bình Province). Đàng Trong was mentioned as guǎng nán guó (廣南國) in Chinese records.
