Naagini (lit. Female serpent) is a 2016 Indian Kannada-language supernatural fantasy television series that airs on Zee Kannada.[1] The series, a remake of the Hindi serial Naaginn is directed by Hayavadana. The series premiered 8 February 2016 and airs Monday to Friday at 9:00 pm. The Hindi-dubbed version of the show airs on Zee Anmol since October 2016.[2] The show also airs dubbed in Tamil on Zee Tamizh.

Plot

This is a series based on the tale of Ichchadaari Naagini who avenged the killing of her parents, King Naagaraja (Master Sanjay) and Queen Nagarani (Jayashree Raj), by her enemies for the Naagamani(snake gem). Amrita (Snake Princess/Leading female role/played by Deepika Das) lived in Dakshaka vana with her Parents (king and queen). Rudra(Arjun Ramesh), his friends and his brother Vishnu (B K Raghavendra) are all came there and killed Amrita 's parents for Naagamani. King Naagaraja 's dead body and the Naagamani is secretly under the control of Rudra's elder brother Vishnu.With the help of her aunt,Amrita prayed Lord Shiva. After 10 years, Her aunty advised Amrutha to go to Durga puram Shiva temple. She went there and she also took her mother's deadbody. Arjun(male lead role,played by Deekshith Shetty) Adopted Son of Vishnu is an innocent boy loves Amrutha in the temple. Vikram and Saroja adopted Amrita as their Daughter. Meanwhile, Rudra and Baba trying to kill the Nagarani . Amrita killed the first Murderer Raju in the incomplete apartment building. Amrita got friendship from the Snake Shesha. Meanwhile, Amrita get known that Rudra, his brother, his friends are culprits. She planned marry Arjun and they were married . At the wedding ceremony, Shesha was Killed by Rudra, Vishnu and Baba.Then Amrutha killed the second Murderer Prakash. She also found, Triveni is not the real mother of Rudra and Vishnu. Naagamani was hidden in Shivalingam which was made at Dakshaka vana by Gurudeva.It was at Amrita's house. No one knows the secrets of the Shivalingam. Triveni's real name was Damayanthi and Arjun 's real name is Partha was the secret known only by the Gurudev. Lord Karthikeya give life back to Shesha for helping Amrita. Amrita killed 3rd Murderer Rudra at Garuda temple. Later, Shesha betrays Amrutha for Arjun.

Characters

  • Amrita : She is an Ichchadaari Naagini and the daughter of the king and queen of Naaglok. Also, the adoptive daughter Vikram and Saroja.
  • Shesha  : She is an Ichchadaari Naagini made by Gurudev for helping Amrita.She looks exactly like Amrita. A big mole on her neck is to identify her. She is the best friend of Amrita. Shesha was killed at Amrita's Marriage and then she was reincarnated by Lord Kartikeya.Later,She betrays Amrita for Arjun.
  • Arjun  : Arjun is the husband of Amrita. He is an adoptive son of Vishnu and Hema and the son of an unknown deceased father and mother Yasodha. His real name is Partha and his real identity is unknown.
  • Raju  : He is the first Murderer of King and queen of Naaglok. He was killed by Amrita on the 24th birthday ceremony of Arjun in the incomplete building.
  • Prakash : He is the second Murderer of King and Queen of Naaglok. He was killed by Amrita in DurgaPuram Shiva Temple
  • Rudra :. He is the third and main Murderer of King and Queen of Naaglok and 1st Murderer of Shesha. He was the adoptive son of Triveni. He was killed by Amrita at 25th birthday ceremony of Arjun by taking Mahakali Avatar. His dead body was hidden by Siddayya.
  • Bairava Baba : He is the second Murderer of Shesha and motivated all to steal Naagmani. He is the guru of Vishnu and Rudra. He is a greedy sorcerer.
  • Vishnu : He is the adoptive son of Triveni and the brother of Rudra. He is the third Murderer of Shesha. He is greedy to get the Naagmani.
  • Triveni: She was the step mother of Vishnu and Rudra. Her identity is unknown like Arjun. She brings Arjun and return to Vishnu. Her real name was Damayanthi and she is the Murderer of Arjun 's father.
  • Karan: He is the step-brother of Arjun and he is the greed of Naagmani.
  • Chitra : She is the wife of Karan. She is a good supporting character of this show.
  • Gurudev: He is the devotee of Lord Parameshwara. He make Shesha for helping Amrita. He was killed by Rudra and then reincarnated by Rudra later. He makes Queen Nagarani's dead body into a Chain and give to Arjun. Then he sacrificed his soul and give to King Nagaraja to help Amrita.
  • Mayuri: Mayuri is a modern girl in Australia who is in love with Arjun. But she is also greed of his family's wealth. So, Amrita makes Mayuri, a culprit and she married Arjun. She doesn't like Amrita and always created problems for her. Mayuri knows the secrets of Amrita and Shesha. Later, Shesha bites her for making her angry. Amrita saved her life and so, Mayuri promises Amrita that she won't torture her and Arjun. Mayuri went to Bengaluru for her higher studies.
  • Harsha: Harsha is Mayuri's friend and he is lying to all girls and making them fool. Amrita killed him for his sins.
  • Hemavathi: Hemavathi(Shortly Hema) is the wife of Vishnu and stepmother of Arjun. She is a loving and caretaking women.
  • Vani: Vani is the wife of Rudra. She is also a loving and caretaking women. She advises Rudra, not to the greed of Naagmani and also hated by Rudra because of her pieces of advice.
