Mount Alvernia College is an independent Catholic secondary school for girls located in Kedron, Queensland, Australia. It was founded in 1956 by the Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception.

Mount Alvernia is a member of the Catholic Secondary Schoolgirls' Sports Association.[1]

Moto

Mount Alvernia focus on "Educating young women through the Franciscan Tradition", and takes pride in all they do.

House System

Beginning in 2015, Mount Alvernia College had facilitated 6 different house groups for the Girls; Belle Praire, Greccio, Perugia, Rieti, Spoleto, and Villa Spada. Before 2015, the college only had 4 houses.

Buildings

The college has seven buildings which house state of the art home economic rooms, science labs, textiles, music, sporting center and other facilities.
