Montagnais of Natashquan

Montagnais of Natashquan (French: Montagnais de Natashquan) are an Innu First Nation in Quebec, Canada. They live on the Indian reserve Natashquan 1 in the Côte-Nord region. In 2016, they have a registered population of 1,118 members. They are part of the Regroupement Mamit Innuat.

Demographics

Members of the Natashquan First Nation are Innus, also called Montagnais. In December 2016, the band has a total registered population of 1,118 members, 93 of whom living off reserve[1]

Geography

Montagnais of Natashquan owns one Indian reserve, Natashquan 1 located on the north coast of Saint Lawrence River close to the municipality of Natashquan. It covers an area of 20.3 hectares.[2]
