Mohan Sivanand is an Indian journalist and artist. For a decade, until October 2015, he was Editor-in-Chief of the Indian edition of Reader's Digest, India's largest-selling magazine in English.

Sivanand started drawing while at college in Kerala, publishing his first cartoon in Shankar's Weekly, India's equivalent of Punch, in 1975. After graduate studies in journalism, he worked for The Times of India group in Bombay, where his cartoons and articles appeared regularly in several of the group's publications. He was on the editorial staff of Science Today magazine for over five years.

In 1983, Mohan Sivanand moved to Reader's Digest India, where he has been a writer, editor and, for some time its de facto art director. A self-taught artist who resumed painting in 1991, he first exhibited his oils at Bombay's Jehangir Art Gallery in May 1994. Since then he has held four one-man shows in Bombay (now Mumbai).

Sivanand has won the Malayala Manorama-instituted "K.M. Cheriyan Memorial Gold Medal" in 1975, after topping his class at the Institute of Journalism, Trivandrum, Kerala, where he did graduate studies. He also won a "Rajika Kripalani Young Journalist of the Year Award" in 1979.
