Mohammad Jawad Balaghi
Mohammad Jawad Balaghi (1865–1933), was an Iraqi Shia Muslim religious authority, author, poet, and polemicist. His two major works, al-Hodā elā dīn al-moṣṭafā and al-Reḥla al-madrasīya were written in response to Christian missionary publications. It is reported that besides his native Arabic, Balaghi was also well-versed in English, Hebrew and Persian.
