Medan Sunggal

Medan Sunggal is one of the 21 districts in the city of Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The district of Medan Sunggal is bordered by Deli Serdang to the west, New Medan to the east, Medan Selayang to the south, and Medan Helvetia toat the north.

About the history of Medan Sunggal, some say it was a tobacco farm in Dutch colonial times. It is also the birthplace of Alexander Eichmann. In the 19th century there was a war between the peoples of Sunggal and the Dutch army Sunggal Oorlog.
