The region lies northwest of the line from Lake Malchin via the Dahmen Canal and Lake Kummerow to the Peene(canal) near Neukalen and from there southeast of the line from Lelkendorf via Lake Teterow, Teterow and Groß Wokern to the Malchin Basin.
