Matlock Preparatory Academy (West Palm Beach) Florida

Matlock Preparatory Academy is a college preparatory school serving students in grades 9-12.

Special Program

Matlock Academy has numerous dual enrollment affiliation agreements with local universities. This program is available for 11th and 12th graders that carry a minimum 3.25 GPA.

International Students

Matlock Academy is approved by SEVIS to issue I-20's to International Students that meet the admissions requirements for enrollment. SEVIS was established as part of ICE's (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) objective to restore integrity to the immigration system. It took two years for Matlock Academy to receive this approval.

Homeschool Program

The Homeschool program is over 20 years old and is integrated with the day school program. Students receive specific instruction for the homeschool program and one on one tutoring. Some families choose to homeschool their children due to religious beliefs, while others choose to do so because of dissatisfaction with other educational options. Many parents of children with handicaps choose to homeschool because they feel more prepared to meet the needs of their child.

Summer School

Students usually attend Summer School for enrichment purposes, making up a grade, or accelerating their current education. A student wishing to graduate earlier than their prescribed date may take credits in summer school to achieve this goal. The summer school has been opened to any high school student in Palm Beach County.
