Mala Bakhtiyar
Hikmat Muhammad Karim (born August 20, 1954), known as Mala Bakhtiyar, Mala Bakhtiar, or Mela Bextiyar (Sorani Kurdish: مهلا بهختیار), is a Patriotic Union of Kurdistan politician who has been in leftist politics since the 1970s.[1]
He was born in 1954 in Khanaqin.[1] He joined the Marx-Lenin Association in 1970, and became one of its leaders on the Iraqi regime's wanted list.[1]
He became part of the PUK leadership in 1976.[1] He became a member of the PUK Political Bureau in 2001 and the chief of the Executive Body of the PUK Political Bureau in 2010.[1]
