Maggie Millar (born 6 January 1941) is an Australian actress, artist, writer and public speaker. She won the 1976 Logie Award for Best Individual Performance by an Actress for Homicide. Her other television roles include Marie Winter in Prisoner (1981–84) and Rosie Hoyland in Neighbours (2002–03).

Career

Millar trained in London, United Kingdom at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, having won a scholarship to go there. Although she has appeared numerously in pantomime and other theatre she is best known for her many Australian television appearances, in particular soap opera in shows such as Cop Shop, Bellbird, Matlock Police, Homicide, A Country Practice and Blue Heelers More long term roles included Marie Winter in Prisoner, Elizabeth Bradley in The Sullivans and Rosie Hoyland in Neighbours. She has appeared also on ABC Radio and many Australian films including Phar Lap and Peita. She is also an accomplished and award-winning artist, specialising in oil and acrylic painting.
