Mabel McVey (born February 20, 1996) is a Swedish-British singer and songwriter based in London. Born in Málaga, Spain and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, she is the daughter of Swedish-Sierra Leonean singer and songwriter Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack record producer Cameron McVey.[1] She now mostly lives in Camden Town,London.[2]

Career

Mabel started her career in 2015 with her debut single titled "Know Me Better". [3] She had a hit in 2017 with "Finders Keepers" which peaked at number 8 on the UK Singles Chart. [4] She works with the songwriter and record producer Joel Pott. She has since released her 2017 debut extended play (EP) Bedroom, a 2017 mixtape Ivy to Roses with the song "Begging", and is working on her unnamed debut album.

Mabel opened for Harry Styles during the European part of the second leg of his tour "Harry Styles: Live on Tour".[5]

After her tour with *Harry Styles she went on her own tour through Europe again. Also she released in September 2018 her newest single “One Shot”. She also did a collab with *Jax Jones with the song called “Ring Ring”. She re-released her 2017 mixtape Ivy To Roses with a brand new art cover and past songs including 'Finders Keepers', 'Fine Line', 'My Lover - Mabel Remix' And 'Ring Ring' by Jax Jones featuring Rich The Kid.

Grammis Awards
