The 5.56×30mm MINSAS is a cartridge manufactured by the Ordnance Factories Board for close quarter battle use. It has an effective range of about 200 to 300 meters and good penetration against body armor.[1] OFB claims that its penetration rate is better than 9mm caliber.[2] It's currently chambered in the Modern Sub Machine Carbine and Amogh carbine.[3]
