Polonia London VC is a semi-professional volleyball team based in London, Great Britain. The club plays in Super 8s, highest level of the English Volleyball League. The male section of the club is named IBB Polonia London (since 2013), the female section is named Polonia SideOut London.

History

The club was set up in 1973 by Maciej Behnke and Henryk Pauliński, members of the Polish YMCA.[1] The female section of the club was founded by sisters Bożena and Grażyna Zajączkowska in 1980. Both secotions, male and female are playing in the highest level of English volleyball league Super 8s. In 2013 IBB Polonia London has established a partnership agreement with one of the most successful Polish club PGE Skra Bełchatów to popularize volleyball in the UK, the promotion of both clubs and exchange experience in the field of training.[2] In March 2017 Polish player Krzysztof Ignaczak joined to club for the rest of the season 2016/17. His playing, as then current World Champion, at the club was caused to promoting volleyball in Great Britain and in the world.[3]
