  • 15 - 18 May 1948 - diplomatic relations were established at the mission level.
  • 11 February 1953 - diplomatic relations interrupted by the Soviet government.
  • 6 - 15 July 1953 - diplomatic relations were restored.
  • 29 April - 12 May 1954 - Mission converted to the embassy.
