| Once upon a time in a beautiful fictional kingdom of Yangdon there lived a lovely couple living with happiness and joy, Dasho Anand (Albert Martinez) the son of King Majaraja (Dante Rivero) proposes to Isabel (Precious Lara Quigaman) for marriage, although Isabel's doubts that what if the King and the Drukpah Ministers questions her identity as a Filipina being their Queen, Dasho Anand is willing to fight for her and she accepted Anand's proposal, Soon after King Majaraja died Anand was proclaimed King of the West and Isabel being Anand's wife proclaimed Queen and bore a daughter and they named their baby "Areeyah" After Areeyah was born joy was brought to the kingdom Unbeknownst to them, Ashi Behati (Gretchen Barretto) a high ranking influential in Yangdon who desires the crown for his son Jao and to get revenge for the death of her father King Chen Mo (Spanky Manikan) The King of the East Kingdom begins her plot against the Queen and her daughter Areeyah, A day after Areeyah was born Behati orders her subordinates Yin and Pratchit to ambush the Queen and Areeyah, killing them by falling their convoy down to the cliff | ||

| The Security Convoy containing Queen Isabel and Princess Areeyah fell off the cliff after the Pratchit place some explosives near the cliff, both of them luckily survive but when Pratchit saw the Queen he stabbed her to death but he couldn't kill the princess and out of conscience he brings her to Yin (Niña Dolino), Yin who was shocked the baby is still alive place her in the care of Esmeralda (Sharmaine Suarez) her maid Yin tells Esmeralda to go home and take the baby with her and promises her to give her a lot of money, Esmeralda thinking about her daughter left with no choice took the baby to the Philippines not knowing that the baby she is carrying is the princess, Meanwhile King Anand commanded all his soldiers to find Isabel and Areeyah, the soldiers manage to find the Queen's body while Areeyah is nowhere to be found, with this, the King mourned for Isabel's death, and saddened by Areeyah's lost, who thought Areeyah is already gone, Meanwhile Esmeralda arrive at the Philippines with the baby, A year after the incident King Anand is still mourning for the lost of his Queen and daughter, his servants did their best to bring the king back to his strength to live on but to no avail, back at the Philippines, Esmeralda goes to the marketplace when a bombing takes place ensuing chaos and Esmeralda loses the child, the next thing she knew the baby was pick up by mysterious man (Dominic Ochoa) and fell unconscious, The man who brought the child name is Dinoy Maghirang despite his family's objection he took care of the Baby while he searches for her real family, back at the Kingdom the Drukpah Ministers held a meeting questions whether King Anand can still fulfill his duties as King despite his sadness due to lost of his Queen and her daughter. | ||

| Luckily King Anand heard everything about the Drukpah's meeting and Behati's suggestion and got angry at Behati, as if Behati is taking the crown for herself he warned Behati that if ever she will make that suggestion again he would make Behati unable to talk again, but at the same time he thought about what Behati told the Drukpahs and begins to wonder whether his own body will wear him down just for waiting for his daughter, and if that happens Yangdon will fall, At Dinoy's household Dinoy gave up finding Mikay's real parents and finally decides to adopt her and took her for custody, Five years later, The Drukpah Ministers are having a conversation whether he will find another girl and get married again, so that they can finally know who will succeed the throne of Yangdon or he will appoint one of the Dashos to who will be the appropriate King, Behati who heard their conversation took her opportunity to make her son Jao to be chosen, Meanwhile at Dinoy's household, Mikay is already 5 years old, as a child Mikay grew up fully aware of her adopted status, despite having been always bullied by her elder step-sister Bianca and irritating her step-mother Stella, she is loved by her stepfather Dinoy, and Mikay thanks them for not throwing her away. | ||

| A New day of school is starting now in Yangdon and many pupils are now starting to enroll at Yangdon's royal university, as the classes starts, Jao and Gino meets up for the first time and became best friends, at the Maghirang residence Mikay became friends with Kiko and became close to each other, as Mikay grew up she felt loneliness because of her adopted status, but at the same time she is always loved by her stepfather Dinoy, which is making her elder step-sister Bianca jealous, back at the Kingdom, Jao is starting to learn a lot of things just playing with ordinary people, which is making his mother Ashi very strict about it because of her desire of making Jao the next King but King Anand is empress of Jao for playing with ordinary people, but because of Jao making friends with Gino, Gino got expelled from the university, meanwhile Pratchit out of conscience goes to Dasho Kencho and tells him that it was he who killed the queen and with Behati hearing their conversation she begins her next plan. | Dasho Kencho decides to start and conduct an investigation about the Queen's death and because of Behati feared that if Kencho finds out she is the mastermind, she decides to kill Kencho by poisoning him to death, 9 years later, both Kiko (Khalil Ramos) and Mikay (Kathryn Bernardo) are now teenagers and are now in high school studying in Sta. Elena High School a public school located in Marikina, passing their board exam, Mikay and Kiko are now graduates, at Yangdon, Jao (Enrique Gil) also graduates from the Royal University Jao was approached by one of the King's servants that he was one of the chosen to be king shock him but King Anand who heard overheard this conversation scolded Behati and tells her that Areeyah will come back, back at the Philippines, Mikay tries to let her mother go to her graduation, but as always she felt ignored, Dinoy who was eager to attend Mikay's graduation was attack by his sickness which causes him to miss her Graduation, due to this, Kiko's mother Des Salamat goes to the stage in Dinoy's place to save her from embarrassment. | ||

| After the Graduation, Mikay, having heard from one of Dinoy's passengers about him, hurries to the hospital. Mikay is relieved to learn that her stepfather is stable, and presents him with her medals and achievements which makes her stepfather proud, but makes Bianca (Bianca Casado) more jealous. Meanwhile back at the Kingdom, The King lets his servants know that, as their King, he should decide who will inherit the throne, but as a father he won't give up hope that one day Areeyah will return. Back at Maghirang's residence Bianca and Mikay start to quarrel because Bianca thinks Mikay is stealing her father, due to her adopted status, but she explains that she is just thanking them for accepting her into their family. The next day Mikay receives mail which says she has won a one-week trip to the Kingdom of Yandon, Mikay hurriedly tells Dinoy about it but Stella and her stepsister Bianca made excuses so Dinoy won't go with Mikay. Meanwhile back at the Kingdom a competition was announced by the Drukpah Ministers for the five selected Dashos to compete for the title of King. Back at the Philippines Mikay learns that the sponsor who gave her the winning ticket will also give her pocket money so Mikay decides to go on the trip to Yangdon. | ||

| Mikay's stepmother Stella is still against Mikay going to Yangdon so that she can help the family for their financial proplems but Dinoy thinking about what Mikay deserve for being a good daughter and a good sister to her siblings, he let Mikay go to Yangdon and do something she wants and gives her a camera, Meanwhile at the Kingdom a competition of Dasho's begins in the game of Archery and Only Dasho Rio won the match, due to this he was assigned to sit at the Drukpah Council boasting his victory to Dasho Jao who was assigned to supervise an upcoming festival in Yangdon, Meanwhile at the Kingdom King Anand visits Queen Isabel's grave and Behati took this opportunity to make Anand fall for her, Meanwhile at Salamat residence, Kiko and Mikay are having a research about Yangdon and Mikay was astonish at King Anand's picture, Unbeknownst to Mikay, Kiko is slowly falling in love in her, which is making Kiko's aunt Anna to start to worry about him due to what happen to Kiko's mother being pregnant at the age of sixteen, as Mikay excitedly wants to go to Yangdon, Mikay gives her stepmother the pocket money she receive and her stepmother realizing what Mikay should deserve let Mikay go to Yangdon. | ||

| King Anand congratulated the Dashos for their success except for Dasho Jao due to his attitude to the workers and so he reminded him that giving good commands isn't the necessary condition of becoming a great leader, as the competition progresses he tells all Drukpah Ministers that the contest is being held for the purpose of selecting a new heir for the throne and finally accepted that Areeyah and Isabel are already gone, Meanwhile Mikay is ready to go to Yangdon and bid goodbye to her foster parents and friends. upon her arrival she goes to the hotel where Mikay and Jao meets for the first time, upon their meeting Mikay describe Jao to be rude, she also met an old lady and also a Pinay like her, and became her accompany during her trip and became close to her, during her trip to the museum he also sees the picture of the Royal family without knowing that she was the baby, The next day, Mikay catch a cold and her Pinay companion tells her to stay in the hotel but Mikay was eager to tour Yangdon, unfortunately she was left by the tourist van and to her surprise it was Jao who will be her accompany during her tour in Yangdon. | ||

| Mikay miss her Tour van and with left with no choice is get a ride with Jao instead, Mikay at first irritated Jao due to her being annoying and her sickness, but at the same he finds her interesting due to how she treats people. Meanwhile at the Philippines Classes are starting for College, Kiko Bianca and Gino (Daniel Padilla) are now starting to enroll in class as the enrollment begins, As Gino enrolls in class, he makes the ladies bloom due to his swagger and charm, including Bianca whom she met for the first time, Meanwhile Mikay was drop at the Chapel and made pictures when suddenly she bumped Ashi Behati who rudely scolds her, after a while Behati scolds Jao for accepting the job as Host of the Festival, as for Mikay who couldn't find her tourist van decides to stick with Jao instead, and Jao who was scolded by her mother earlier became angrier at Mikay, so Mikay who thinks of herself as a burden leaves on her own, as she takes pictures, Jao who sees her again finds Mikay funny and interesting. | ||

| Behati thanks Anand for phraising Jao but unknown to Anand Behati has evil intentions, at the Chapel Jao leaves Mikay so to go off to his work but Jao started to get concern about Mikay that she might get lost in the town and decides to come back to fetch her, Meanwhile at the Philippines Bianca gets a crush on Gino and irritates the other ladies who also has a crush on him, Back at Yangdon, Jao and Mikay land at the palace, as they go around Jao reminded Mikay to not get lost, but Mikay disobeyed Jao's order and goes inside the King's palace without permission and gets caught by the Royal Guards, luckily she was spotted by King Anand, and she apologizes for her intruding the palace, so King Anand treats Mikay and Welcomed her as a special guest due to her being a Filipina, Unbeknownts to the both of them that they have a father-daughter relationship, King Anand and Mikay shared moments together, after touring the palace The King orders Jao to tour Mikay to the best places in Yangdon, Jao feeling force to tour Mikay scold her for getting him in trouble, but decides to follow the King's orders, and deep inside Jao enjoys spending with Mikay. | ||

| Behati tells Jao about the King told her and tells his son to continue what he is doing, Jao who still thinks what happened yesterday about Mikay getting him into trouble tries to get revenge on her by making her over fatigue during her tour, Meanwhile at the Philippines Dinoy goes to her job with Bianca but Bianca didn't enjoy accompanying her father because his father always talks about Mikay, As Mikay and Jao tours to Yangdon she tells Jao about Luck and but Jao tells her that he doesn't believe in luck but hard work, after that Jao and Mikay goes to the Museum and Mikay accidentally broke and Artifact and Jao begins to get revenge on Mikay which made her cry, with this Mikay finally snapped and tells him about her life and her family's acceptance, during their dispute Mikay's camera fell off the cliff. | ||

| Mikay blames Jao for losing her camera and during their quarrel Jao tells her that he is the prince and becomes the next king but Mikay tells him that he does not deserve to be king, but at the same time Mikay anger fade and tells Jao how that camera is important to her, As Jao went back home, he couldn't stop thinking about Mikay, Meanwhile at the Philippines Dinoy was arrested by the cops for Illegal Trafficking and was left no choice but to come with the comes, back at Yangdon the next morning Mikay met again the Pinay tourist who help her during her first tour, Mikay tells the tourist of how she lost the camera. out of pity the tourist gives Mikay a new camera and Mikay takes pictures once again, at the Kingdom, the festival begins and King Anand announces about a competition of who will be the next King, Mikay was also at the Kingdom, Jao who was also chosen to be the next king and sees Mikay boasted at her, but Mikay didn't mind him and went on her way to take more pictures and back way to the airport to go back to Philippines, Jao who found recently found Mikay's lost camera decides to pursue her but Mikay is already boarded at the plane and went back home. | ||

| Mikay arrive at the Philippines welcomed by Kiko and tells her that her father is in Jail, as she went back home, she was not welcomed by her family and get angry at her, the next day Mikay goes to the police station to convince the cops about her father's innocence but to no avail as Mikay is having problems of how he will tell her father that she lost her camera, and begins to cry at Kiko's arms, Meanwhile back at the Kingdom Jao receives his results from King Anand about his job as a festival coordinator, when the King asks about his other Job about touring Mikay, Jao tells him that he couldn't forget the time that he spent with her because of what Mikay told her, with this the King commanded Jao to go to Philippines, at the Philippines Bianca with his friends bullies Mikay and while they compete to win over Gino's heart. the next morning at Yangdon Jao prepares for his departure to the Philippines. | ||

| Kiko is starting to fall in love for Mikay and the two of them are watching stars together with telescope, Kiko tried to confess his feelings for Mikay but he couldn't, At Gino's household Gino finds his mother Alicia drunk who is depress about their internal family problems and despite what happen Alicia still loves her husband Edward, but Gino tells her that she doesn't need his father and leave him, Meanwhile Jao who was preparing for his departure going to the Philippines realize that Mikay became an Inspiration to him even though Jao denies it, Jao felt confuse, At Dela Rosa household Gino thinking about his past and swore to himself that he will not become miserable just because of love, At the kingdom, Behati sneak a peek on Mikay's lost camera and tells his son the next day that he must don't mind unnecessary things, back at the Philippines, Mikay visit her Dinoy and tells her about the camera and despite losing the camera that Dinoy gave her, he didn't get angry. as Dinoy is in jail Stella is having tries to convince Dinoy to get a debt on her cousins in Bulacan or sell out their house to get Dinoy out, but Dinoy didn't permit it, Mikay who wants to help her father goes to work in the hot dog stand to sustain enough money when her mascot costume accidentally got burned luckily she was saved by Gino was passing by, Gino forgives Mikay for ruining his day and thinking that Mikay has a crush on her they intruduce themselves to each other. | ||

| The news of the new elected Dashos who were chosen to be the next king has been announce and Behati was proud of her son that he is one of the Dashos, the competition progresses, King Anand gives another challenge to Dashos to test their skills in Business, Politics, Culture and Agriculture, The King commands them to do a project to test their skills with the Assistance of the Drukpah Ministers, Meanwhile at the Philippines Kiko is who starts to fall for Mikay invites her to go out, At Yangdon a Celebration is being held and Behati praises her son for a Job well done and tells him to give them a speech, but Jao didn't like her mother's sudden decision and walks out at the party, and doubted her mother if her mother really love his father or just for his father's position in the politics, at the Philippines classes are beginning to start and it is their first day of class when Mikay and Kiko accidentally meets Gino, Mikay thanks Gino for rescuing her when her mascot costume accidentally got burned and to repay that kindness Gino gives tells Mikay to clean his father's car, Gino is surprised that Mikay accepted the job of cleaning his car and that no woman ever accepted because its messy. he was also surprise when Mikay is not the kind of person unlike the other girls so he decides to use her for his own personal plans and invites her in a party. | ||

| Behati got in rage when he learned Jao gave up on the competition, Meanwhile at the party, Mikay's presence at the party was not welcomed by Gino's family and relatives which left her into embarrassment but still she endured for the sake of her adoptive father Dinoy, at the Kingdom Behati remembers her past about the Conflict between the East and West, and how her father Chenmo The King of the East was killed by Majarajah the King of the West, soon after Behati's father died and the East Kingdom was annihilated by the West led by Majarajah, Behati escape to the woods where she was found by Priam (Christian Bautista) after that night until now, Behati swore vengeance against the West Kingdom and make them pay, Meanwhile King Anand calls Jao and became honest with him that he was in first place until he gave up the competition but the King gave Jao freedom to choose whether he wants to be King and he also tells him that two decisions in his life will guide his future, one is the job he will choose and two the woman he will choose to be with him for the rest of his life, back at the party, the celebration is almost over and its time for Mikay and Gino to dance, unbeknownst to Mikay, her elder sister Bianca who was also invited at the party watch them and got even more jealous at Mikay, and it even got worst when Gino's relatives learned about it much to Mikay's embarrassment. | ||
