    Extra- The protagonist, a third-year Hakuryou Hiiragi student.
    Unlimited/Alternative- The protagonist, who one day finds himself in a parallel world.
  • Kagami Sumika (鑑純夏)
    Voice: Taguchi Hiroko (田口宏子)
    Extra- Takeru's childhood friend and classmate. They've been together for so long that he can't imagine what life would be like without her.
    Unlimited/Alternative- A brain in a tube.
  • Mitsurugi Meiya (御剣冥夜)
    Voice: Okushima Kazumi (奥島和美)
    Extra- A rich girl who showed up in Takeru's bed one day.
    Unlimited/Alternative- A cadet in unit 207, and later a pilot in squad A-01. Also the shogun's twin sister.
  • Sakaki Chiduru (榊千鶴)
    Voice: Kurata Masayo (倉田雅世)
    Extra- Chairman of Takeru's class. Constantly at loggerheads with Kei. Used to be captain of the Lacrosse club.
    Unlimited/Alternative- A cadet in unit 207, and later a pilot in squad A-01. Still at loggerheads with Kei.
  • Ayamine Kei (彩峰慧)
    Voice: Nagashima Yuuko (永島由子)
    Extra- One of Takeru's classmates. Strange. Constantly at loggerheads with Chizuru.
    Unlimited/Alternative- A cadet in unit 207, and later a pilot in squad A-01. Still strange, and still constantly at loggerheads with Chiduru.
  • Tamase Miki (珠瀬壬姫)
    Voice: Hitomi (ひと美)
    Extra- The class mascot.
    Unlimited/Alternative- A cadet in unit 207, and later a pilot in squad A-01. Specializes in sniping.
  • Yoroi Mikoto (鎧衣尊人)
    Voice: Takagi Reiko (久保田恵)
    Extra- One of Takeru's classmates, who plays Valgern-On with him quite often. Probably male.
  • Jinguuji Marimo (神宮司まりも)
    Voice: Ayaka Minami (井上美紀)
    Extra- Form and English teacher of Takeru's class. Yuuko's best friend since their school days.
    Unlimited/Alternative- Unit 207's instructor.
  • Kouzuki Yuuko (香月夕呼)
    Voice: Motoi Emi (本井えみ)
    Extra- A physics teacher. Marimo's best friend since their school days.
    Unlimited/Alternative- Vice-commander of the Yokohama base. Working on mankind's last hope, Alternative IV.

    A mysterious girl who can be found in a certain room on floor B-19 of the Yokohama base which has a brain in a cylinder. Has something to do with Alternative IV.

    The 00 Unit, humanity's trump card in the battle against the BETA, a quasi-clone-thing of Sumika with the contents of her brain (but not the still-living brain itself, which was killed in the process of her creation).

    From Kimi ga Ita Kisetsu. Captain of squad A-01.
