Conor loses the singles final round of the World Gaming Pro Championship because he twisted his thumb and broke it. This causes his former sponsors to take back all the free stuff he was given. Conor's mother forces him to go back to school, where he makes three new friends. The relationship among Conor and his new friends grows stronger. Conor realizes that he would rather keep them and play as a team in the World Gaming Pro Championship than lose his friendship with any of them.

Connor convinces the school principal Nordahl to form a school gaming club as means to win their school rivals at anything. However, problems come when the PE budget is used to fund the club. Meanwhile, Wendell tries to return an old book he owes to the school library.

Wendell's life falls apart after playing too much Puddin' Party. The rest of the group decides to put a stop to it. Ashley finds out Wendell wasted all their gaming money. She finds a flyer about a Puddin' Party competition. The competition prize is cash. This will help the group to restore their wasted gaming money. Wendell wins the competition and the team rejoices in victory.

The team receive a new chair. They do not know how to share it so they have a contest to determine who will get the new chair. The contest rule is nobody can play any video games. The last person standing wins. Ashley gets eliminated first after a video game event shows up at their school. Wendell gets eliminated when he has to choose between not playing video games and getting a kiss from a girl. Finally, Conor is eliminated after finding out about a glitch in a game he likes. It is later discovered that they were tricked by Franklin and all of those temptations that were impossible to ignore were him.

Connor and Wendell loose the school's Spirit Egg and assume the rival school stole it. The two infiltrate the rival school, only to find themselves trapped. Meanwhile, Franklin is chosen to take care of the Spirit Egg and he takes it too far.

Connor's gaming rival Lika arrives in town as Wendell's girlfriend. Lika takes control of Thumbs of Fury from Connor before the team's official announcement.

Thumbs of Fury get their first sponsor but at the expense of dropping their friend Franklin and replacing him. Meanwhile, Franklin forms his own gaming team.

After scaring off the old driver instructor into retirement, Mr. Spanks takes over and gives Connor an unfair driving test. Meanwhile, Ashley competes in the town's girls tournament where Wendell and Franklin want her to cheat as means to get the ultimate prize.

Conor gets his hands on a copy of the video game, "Psycho Zombie Bloodbath", which has recently been banned by the International Gaming Committee for being too creepy. After playing the game and staying up all night, Conor and the gang must battle real life zombies at their school.

Ashley mistakenly makes the reward of a dancing competition sponsored by Billy to US$50, 000. After the announcement on the news, there is no go in back so Ashley and Connor have to compete to get the money back and save Billy from been bankruptcy. However, Connor has a terrible past with dancing. Meanwhile, Wendell takes credit for Franklin's "painting" in order to impress the art teacher Miss Dumpler. However, Wendell and Franklin figure out that the art club is a fraud.

Connor and Ashley trick Franklin into believing that he performed a stunt over a waterfall. Franklin gets them back by making them think he made the stunt. However, they eventually tell him; resulting in him losing confidence. Meanwhile, Wendell thinks he has injured Jance who uses that her advantage.

When Wendell saves Conor's life, Wendell takes advantage of it by having Conor perform various crazy tasks for him. Then Wendell moves in with Conor after termites were found to be in his house. Meanwhile, Franklin costs Ashley her job when he demands that Billy gives her a 100 percent raise. Franklin and Ashley come up with a plan to get her job back by having Billy hire someone worse than her. Unfortunately for them, Stu, the new employee, is excellent at the job, but that also becomes terrible when it causes Billy's restaurant to be packed. After Stu overhears Franklin, Ashley, and Billy talking about having Ashley fire him, he quits and Ashley gets her job back with a 10 percent raise, which Billy had originally offered. Elsewhere, Conor loses it and asks Franklin to act like termites also attacked his house in order to get Wendell to leave. It works, but then a ceiling fan almost falls on Conor and Franklin saves his life, causing the cycle to repeat itself.

Due to an incident at a football state championship game, once a year it is Freak Week and Mr. Spanks gives students and faculty alike detention for no reason whatsoever, such as a student simply smiling. Conor goes to see Coach Wilson and asks about letting Mr. Spanks play the upcoming game because he sat out his freshman year, which meant he still had eligibility left. Conor and Ashley later make a plan to help Mr. Spanks gain his confidence back in return for canceling all of the detention he dished out. Meanwhile, Wendell is jealous that Franklin will be the school mascot. Franklin later performs a long cheer for Janice, but Wendell comes and crashes it with a better cheer and Janice makes him the mascot. However, Wendell ends up in a dirty costume when Franklin reveals that the awesome costume he was in was made by him and his mother. Meanwhile, while Conor and Ashley are helping Mr. Spanks, he continues to come up with lame excuses as to why he can't participate in the game, such as not being able to kick the football properly, but Ashley trash talks him and he gains his confidence back. Later at the game, Janice reveals she let Wendell be the mascot so he would get booed. Mr. Spanks is then put into the game, but double-crosses Conor when he refuses to cancel the detentions he dished out. Unfortunately for Mr. Spanks, he is tackled by everyone on the field, causing Mr. Spanks to break his legs and the cycle to repeat itself. Conor and Ashley then ask Mr. Spanks if it's okay to go to a yacht party and bring everyone; when he says no, they intentionally misunderstand him and tell everyone that detention's over.

After mistakenly helping a person escape prison, Connor and Franklin figure out the person is not that scary. They help him proof his innocence by tricking the Rainmaker into revealing that he stole the most powerful cards in a card game hosted by Chad. Connor has to be the nerd attending the tournament. Meanwhile, Wendell and Ashley end up on a date influence by Billy. The two attempt to gross each other but find out it was a mis understanding.

The gang mistakenly break a simulation training machine at a space camp school tour. They work at the camp in order to pay up the damage. However, an asteroid approaches Earth and the control center workers are sick from Billy's food. The gang are left to save the world from the asteroid with railguns (similar to a video game they have played before) controlled from the center.

Conor and his friends are going to appear on the front cover of a gaming magazine. They have to promote a product called the Gamer Grips. However, soon they discover that the gloves make everything fall out of their hands, so they decide not to promote it. Their rival, Lika, decides to promote the product and steals their place on the magazine cover. In response, Conor's team decides to promote another product, the Chillerz, which are making an even bigger advertising campaign. But the shorts start malfunctioning, causing them to get very cold, so in the live interview they decide to tell people about its dangers. Meanwhile, Lika is questioned about the Gamer Grips which have been discovered to cause temporary hand shrinkage, but she keeps denying it despite the evidence.

To fix friendship problems between Wendell and Franklin, Connor takes them to a cabin for a bonding experience but they end up fighting a real bear. Meanwhile, Ashley helps Billy prepare the restaurant for a TV show visiting.

After Franklin losses a "super" kart to some rival school students, Ashley has to build a kart in order to race the rival school as means to get the "super" kart back. Meanwhile, Wendell attempts to stop Janice and his cousin from falling in love.

The gang form Thumbs of Rock, a rock band inspired by a rock band game. They enter a talent show and end getting into character; Ashley wants to be solo singer and Wendell behaves like a hippi. They dissolve the band, Connor and Spanks (band manager) bring the band together last minute to appear on the talent show.

Connor gets into trouble with Spanks and ends up looking after his goat as punishment. Meanwhile, Wendell and his cousin Dawyne get a job to destroy a water fountain. However, Ashley believes the fountain is magical and must not be destroyed. The siblings use explosives to destroy the fountain but the goat eats some of the explosives. Connor has to save the goat from exploding.

The gang enter Chad's escape room challenge. They escape the challenge and retrieve a briefcase of money. They start to spend the money but soon learn from Chad that the prize in coupons to games and not money. They attempt to return the money but learn it belongs to a crime lord who pursues them. They have to escape through the escape room with help from expect Ashley.

Connor recruits Karl-Anthony Towns to join the school's basketball team but the rival school convince him to join their side. Connor ends up teaming up with old aged man to win a basketball match fundraiser.

The Olympic touch is passing through Red Hood. Connor finds it an opportunity to boost Thumbs of Fury's popularity. Connor unveils that Janice stole her bronze Olympic medal; therefore stripping her from carrying it through the town. Meanwhile, Franklin gets to look after the touch and mistakenly takes out the fire. Connor and Franklin attempt to light the touch (stored at the library) but Janice catches them and blackmails them into her carrying the touch. Meanwhile, Wendell and his cousin Dawyne get a job to get rid of sewer pigs.

The team get stuck in Mexico on their journey to a gaming tournament. Wendell mistakenly let loose of the town's lucky llama and it gets injured. Wendell and Ashley get arrested and need US$2, 000 to set them free. Connor and Franklin (known as the Two Burritos) get jobs as wrestlers on a deal that they must loss but their opponents want to loss too in order for them to leave the promotion. Meanwhile, Wendell and Ashley attempt to escape prison.

After learning that Thumbs of Fury is not in the top 100, Connor goes solo and rise the team up the ranks. Meanwhile, Franklin has more time to spend with his girlfriend Alice who Wendell doesn't believe exist. However, they soon find out that their lives are imbalance when not gaming and return to help sleeping Connor progress through the remaining matches in order to qualify for a national tournament.

A new student Spencer tempers with the gang's gaming machine, in result Janice gains electricity powers. Janice forces Connor to insert Spencer into the school's gaming club (only composed of Thumbs of Fury). Spencer wants the team's strategy book. Eventually, Ashley gives him the book. At a team gaming match, it is revealed that Spencer is leader of a highly rated team Total Mayhem. However, Spencer had the wrong book as Thumbs of Fury win. Connor reveals he swapped the books knowing that Ashley would give the book to Spencer.

Red Hood and its rival town are in argument over who won at the battle of the stump. The gang get into a fight with rival school students and the matter reaches to the mayors of the two towns who also fight. War is declared between them. Red Hood mayor Jennifer appoints Connor as leader over an actual army leader. While on a mission to get information, Ashley learns that Wendell is not from Red Hood. This promotes Wendell to doublecross Red Hood and led the rival town. They agree onto a paintball fight. At the battle, Wendell double-crossed the rival town in order for Connor to win it for Red Hood.

The team fail to watch a PG movie based on a video game due to Ronald constantly cutting them off. Connor and Ashley bring Chad (who is having woman problems) and Janice (who is having man problems) together but first have to go to a double date. Connor and Ashley fake a romantic relationship in which they almost kiss due to a jealous Wendell. They do watch the film and the two hug at the end; in which they were shy; indicating they might love each other. Meanwhile, Chad employees Franklin to work at his comic store.

The gang get trapped in the school over the weekend after missing the school bus. The find out that the teachers are also in the school as means to escape from the children. Supplies run out as Janice and Wendell betray their respective sides by stealing the supplies. The two sides work together to find a way out of the school. They get out after Ashley used her plumbing skills to drain the pipes of the water.

Ashley's late grandma leaves her fortune telling equipment to Ashley but Connor and Wendell end up using it to make money. They end up helping Janice get rid of a ghost and by mistake release an actual clown ghost named Jasper. Ashley finds out and summons the spirit of her late grandma who lands into Connor. She tells them all they need to know. Ashley, Connor and Wendell trace Jasper to a graveyard but capture him at the mall at the expense of Connor. Ashley goes after Connor to the after life void and rescues him. Connor tricks Ashley into kissing him. Meanwhile, Franklin devices a plan to stop Doyle from stealing candy from children at Halloween. However, he learns that Doyle steals candy because of his concern about children's teeth.

Ashley gets invited into a girls tournament and wants Connor to be her mentor. Connor tries to keep a low profile at the tournament but eventually gets the spot light when he rescues C1-10P "Chopper" from Star Wars Rebels from falling off a building. Connor abandons Ashley in order to feature on Faruq's show for his heroic act. However , last minute, Connor goes back for Ashley who wins the tournament. The two embrace yet again. Meanwhile, Franklin wants to impress Chopper while Wendell wants to compete in the girl's tournament.

After Mr. Funkus is kicked out of his mother's house, he moves into the school and teams up with Franklin to form a techno music DJ duo. Conor doubts the success of the duo but soon learns of the duo's increase in fanbase.

Franklin's project is destroyed, Wendell is presumed to be the culprit, and is expelled and send to some sort of juvenile. The school celebrates the departure of Wendell. Conor sets out to prove Wendell's innocence and finds out that the library lady who hates Wendel, Janice premeditated Wendell's expelling. Thus in result, Wendell's name is cleared and Janice is taken away by police, making her last appearance in the season and series. Meanwhile, Ashley is left alone with a new recruit to the school's gaming club and tends to impresses him but soon learns of his true nature.
