Greens Representation from Year to Year

Bob Brown was the first elected Greens representative, initially elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly in 1983. He was joined by Gerry Bates in 1986. In the second half of 2018, the number of Greens representatives stands at 37.

Note: In 1998, the number of members per electorate in the Tasmanian House of Assembly was reduced from seven to five, reducing the Greens' representation from 4 to 1. The Greens' representation has since recovered.
