Lindy V. Vicari

Lindy V. Vicari (July 28, 1926 - September 3, 2003) was an American businessman, philanthropist, and stock-car racing promoter and operator. He was best known for his longtime head of Ontelaunee Mushroom Farms Inc. and the long time, 1955-1979, operator of Reading Fairgrounds Speedway.

Vicari was former operator of Penn National Speedway, Dauphin County, and owner and operator of Nazareth Speedway, Northampton County, retiring in 1984.

Vicari was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was past president and board member of the Agriculture and Horticulture Society of Berks County.

Vicari was a board member of the Olivet Boys' & Girls' Club, where he received the National Alumni Association Award in 1991.

He was inducted into the York County Racing Hall of Fame and was recognized as one of the 50 most influential sports figures in Berks County history by the Reading Eagle.
