The deep-bodied pipefish (Leptonotus blainvilleanus) is a pipefish in the family Syngnathidae (seahorses and pipefishes). These benthic fishes are found in estuaries and coastal waters of South America, from southern Brazil in the Atlantic Ocean to southern Chile in the Pacific Ocean.
