Le bal du Comte d'Orgel

Le Bal du comte d'Orgel is the second and last novel by Parisian literary prodigy Raymond Radiguet (1903-1923). Published in 1924 and centering on love triangle or adultery, it proved controversial, as did his first psychological novel, Le Diable au corps, published in 1923. Le Bal du comte d'Orgel was adapted into a 1970 film.

Plot

Mahaut, married to the Count d'Orgel, falls into a torrid romance with François de Séryeuse, a teenager. The Count doesn't realize what is going on between his new friend and his wife.
