Latin America and the Caribbean (region)

The term Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)^[1] is an English-language acronym referring to the Caribbean and Latin America region. The term LAC covers an extensive region, extending from Bahamas to Chile and Argentina. The region consists over 670.230.000 people as for 2016, and spanned for 21.951.000 km² (8.475.000 sq mi).

It is estimated to atributte for over 400 bil. dollars that form the core for economic stability, however, few countries, notably Venezuela, are parts of OPEC.

Religion

Most countries are dominated by Christianity, the largest being Roman Catholic.
