L23A1
L23A1 is a British cannon developed by BRITISH AEROSPACE DEFENCE LTD.'s Royal Ordinance Division, currently BAE Systems. The 76 mm L23A1 gun is derived from the heavier 76 mm L5A1.
The gun features hydro-pneumatic recoil buffer system with cam operated semi-automatic reloading. After firing the breech remains open ready for reloading.
The Gun is mounted on FV101 Scorpion and Couger1 armoured recon
