The symbol is the Chinese character for "university" and has a world map in the background. This symbolizes Kyung Hee's vision for globalization as well as an open mind and humanism for the world.

Character Mark

The character mark visualizes the Kyung Hee Spirit with the dignified mane of the Laughing Lion, the torch which sheds light on the truth, and the dove, an international symbol of peace. Sports teams and various University promotional products use the character mark to proliferate Kyung Hee's brand value throughout the world.

Magnolia is the official flower of Kyung Hee University and the Magnolia logo embodies the qualities that Kyung Hee stands for such as resilience, beauty, generosity, and unity. Along with the other character mark of the University, the Laughing Lion, the Magnolia represents the cultural aspect of Kyung Hee.

Colleges

The undergraduate education system is four years, the medical profession is six years, and the postgraduate education system is three years. Each year is divided into spring term and autumn term. The spring term is the first semester of each school year. It begins in the first week of March and ends in the second week of June; the fall semester is the second semester of each school year. It begins in the first week of September and ends in the last week of December. The third week of May is Magnolia Festival, and May 18th is the anniversary day.

School of Hospitality Management

The kyung hee university is famous for their hotel management and business administration majors, which are really attractive for local students and even foreign students to learn. Most of the exchange students will take these two majors as their wish. Now KHU is introducing hotel tourist management as a new major, that means they are divided the basic majors into more details, applying students more choices, the school also add English track lessons to foreign students, which is better improving the relationship with professors and foreign students .meanwhile The kyung Hee University provide English track as well, which attracts lots of foreign students to come.

Natural History Museum

Kyung Hee University's Natural History Museum is a museum established and operated by Kyung Hee University. It opened on June 13, 1978, and houses some 70,000 specimens and natural materials such as rocks, minerals, mammals, birds, insects, fish, and plants. Each category includes 1,200 rock and mineral samples, 5,000 bird and mammal samples, 50,000 insect specimens, and 4,000 plant specimens.

Kyung Hee University Central Museum

It was opened in October 1955 and later moved to the fourth floor of the central library building in November 1966 when the central library was completed. In 2001, it was registered as the 1st National Museum of Korea (Ministry of Culture and Tourism Registration No. 193) and then recommissioned and computerized the collections and launched the Internet search service in January 2004.

Kyung Hee University Hye Jung Museum

The Hyejeong Museum is the first high-level museum to be established in Korea. From the 11th century to the 20th century, it has the largest collection of materials produced in Korea, including antique maps, lightings, related historical materials, and related historical materials. He introduced a map made in the West for the first time in Korea, and created a new biography that can objectively illuminate Korea's image on the map.

Physical Education

The Dept. of Physical Education at KHU was set up as the Dept. of Physical Education in Korea in 1949, and became a stepping stone to play a pivotal role in Korean Physical education. It was promoted to the college of Physical education upon completing the construction of the largest gym in Asia in 1955. The doctoral program was opened in 1980 for the first ever time in Korea. Currently, five departments are operated within the college of Physical education: Physical Edu, Sports medicine, coaching, Golf management and Taekwondo.

Korean Medicine

Founded in 1948 as Dongyang College and reorganized in 1965 into the Kyung Hee College of Korean Medicine (KHKM), KHKM is one of eleven Korean medical colleges in the country, dedicated to the study of traditional medical practice. In 1972 its researchers demonstrated a drug-free acupunctural anesthesia.^[18] In 1998 Kyung Hee established the International Studies of Korean Medicine to broaden its reach to international scholars. The following year it established the Graduate School of East-West Medicine Science (GSM) in order to blend Eastern and Western diagnostic methods. The College of Korean Medicine and the Graduate School of Medicine have integrated the two traditions within the Kyung Hee Medical Center and active collaboration occurs between the college and the biomedical engineering department on acupuncture therapy, chronic medical conditions, palsy, and geriatric diseases.^[19]

The medical center is divided into the General Hospital, Dental Hospital, Korean Medicine Hospital, East-West Medical Center, and the Medical Science Research Institute.^[21] In a 1999 study, the Kyung Hee Korean medicine curriculum consisted of 60 percent Eastern and 40 percent Western research and practice.^[18] The college had an intake of 780 students and 54 professors, 13 East-West integrated clinics, and 10 basic and 10 clinical departments.

The traditional medicine department has formal ties with the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, China Medical University in Taiwan, Hong Kong Baptist University, Meiji University, and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Global Collaborative

The Global Collaborative is a summer program that allows international students to attend classes led by scholars and engage in discussions about global governance and sustainability. The Global Collaborative is co-run by the University of Pennsylvania, Peking University, Ritsumeikan University and Moscow State University with the cooperation of the United Nations and the Conference of NGOs (CoNGO). Through research, education and modules on global governance, or sustainability and the environment, international students collaborate on research projects.

The curriculum underscores the environment and human society for future leadership. The Global Collaborative offers two strands of each four weeks: "Global Governance & East Asian Civilization" and "Sustainable Development for a Greener Planet."

World Civic Forum

Run as a join initiative with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the World Civic Forum (WCF) is a global institution that brings together academic institutions, international organizations, civil society, governments, the business sector and the media to create programs in education, research and practice related to the challenges of making the world a better place to live.

Global Service Corps

The Global Service Corps emphasizes peace studies in new forms of public service. Launched in September 2010, effort is placed on volunteering, social responsibility, social services, and regional and global engagement in areas such as rural farming communities, environment protection, and medical treatment of the disadvantaged. The program aims to seek means to address institutional engagement in global problems through research, education and practice, and media. Collaborations are with the United Nations, international NGOs, corporations, and other organizations.

Global Studio Network

The Global Student Network links by the internet diverse institutes and individuals around the world to overcome communication beyond barriers of language and culture. The network works with both local and international organization to encourage discussion. Previous strands have included environmental issues and conflict resolution with the United Nations and UNESCO.^[22]

Global Academy for Future Civilizations

The Global Academy for Future Civilizations is a set of international research organizations dedicated to creating a more humane civilization in the 21st century. The program works with the United Nations and other organizations.

United Nations Academic Impact

The university and the United Nations Academic Impact program seek to align institutions of higher education with the United Nations in supporting the principles of the UN in the areas of human rights, literacy, sustainability and conflict resolution. The Academic Impact also asks each participating college or university to demonstrate support of at least one of those principles each year.

Sewha Hall

Sehwa Hall is an international dormitory opened in February 2005, where students from local areas and students from all over the world live together and through a meeting that transcends nationality and scholarship, culture can be exchanged. By providing convenience for studying by foreign students in 35 countries, including Korean students, they greatly contribute to the cultural exchange of the college community in the 21st century and the cultivation of character based on autonomy and moderation. The major facility is a double room, a bathroom, shower, and basin, as well as rest facilities, a cafeteria, table tennis room, and laundry room. In 2010, it also provided free Internet service for students and refrigerator in each room, and installed fitness centers and rest facilities on the roof.

Sameuiwon

In 1991, Kyung Hee University built Sameuiwon dormitory with a total floor area of 5,625 ㎡ with one basement floor and five floors. In Sameuiwon, "Sameui" means "best three", heaven, earth, and man. It is the true meaning of Sameuiwon that the universe can not be formed without the heaven, earth, and man, just as objects can not exist without points, lines, or sides. The goal of the dormitory is to foster human leaders. Sameuiwon is not such a meaningless place, but a Mecca of great ambitions about learning, love, passion, and youth. Anyone who has lived here will never forget this place, and it will remain a lasting place in their hearts. Sameuiwon is a 5,625 ㎡ building that accommodates 176 men and 176 women who are studying foreign languages. Four people use one room, and each room has a bunk bed, closet, desk, chair, bookshelf, shoe shelf, and telephone. Other facilities include a 160-seat study room, fitness center, table tennis room and a rest room.

Happiness Dormitory

Kyung-hee University's Happy Dormitory was established in 2012 under a government policy to ease the housing burden for students. To solve the high cost of the former dormitory, the Happy Dormitory is setting low costs. To enhance the fairness of operation, the school established and operates "Kyung Hee University Seoul Campus Public Dormitory Limited Liability Company", which is jointly funded by Kyung Hee University System and Korea Foundation for the Promotion of Private school. There are currently 1,051 students living here, and the dormitory is helping students design their comfortable campus life and concentrate on their studies. And the happy dormitory is very convenient because it can be accessed 24 hours a day by 2015. It is a two-person room like the sewha hall, but according to the student who lives both sewha hall and the happiness dormitory, the happiness dormitory facility is much better. Room size and bathroom (there is a shower booth)are much better than sehwa hall. There is also have single room. The dormitory fee is similar to other dormitory, but you have to pay the utility fee (if you save it, it varies from 20,000 won to 40,000 won per person). There is a space with TV, microwave, water purifier and so on. There is no cooking equipment in the facility and cooking is impossible.

Beautiful Won

In September 2017, Kyung Hee University opened the new dormitory door from the second semester. The name is called 'Beautiful Won'. It is a huge space that can accommodate about 1,000 people.
