Qudratillo Xabibullo Ogli Abduqaxorov (Uzbek: Кудратилло Хабибулло Угли Абдукахоров; born 29 August 1993 in Qo‘rg‘ontepa, Andijan) is an Uzbek professional boxer who competes in the welterweight division. He has been the WBC Silver champion since 2017.[1] As of October 2018 he is ranked by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board as the 6th best welterweight in the world.[2] However, he is not rated by The Ring Magazine or ESPN. [3][4]
Amateur career
Abduqaxorov's first amateur fight took place in 2004. He was a four-time national champion as an amateur but he never represented his country in international competition. He holds a 170-10 record as an amateur.[5]
Professional career
Abduqaxorov made his professional debut on 18 October 2015. He won his first 5 fights by way of knockout.
On March 2017, Abduqaxorov claimed the WBC Silver welterweight title against Charles Manyuchi. Abduqaxorov defeated Manyuchi with a first round TKO. Manyuchi mocked Abduqaxorov prior to the fight, saying that he was "in a different league" while his manager claimed they were already planning to fight for the WBC world title.[6] Abduqaxorov claimed Manyuchi was "overconfident".[7]
