Koševski Potok is a river in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The river is partially subterranean, as significant portion of its course is covered in a man-made diversion project, designed for gaining space for urban development since late 1940's and early 1950's.

Headwaters

The Koševski Potok originates from a confluence of two smaller creeks in the region of Nahorevo neighborhood, on the northern outskirts of Sarajevo, Nahorevski Potok and Grončavica creek (itself continuation of sinking creek called Grabovica which runs between plateaus of Crepoljsko and Biosko), draining from plateaus of Bukovik, Crepoljsko and Biosko, southeastern and southern slopes of Ozren mountain.

Koševski Potok running through Pionirska Dolina recreation park, some 250 meters from entering underground section.

Subterranean section

The Koševski Potok enters urban area of Sarajevo from the north, between Pionirska Dolina recreation park and neighborhood of Koševo, and at that point is diverted underground. From this point Koševski Potok is underground and it runs through urban area of Sarajevo all the way to Skenderija neighborhood, where it meets the Miljacka river near the Sarajevo City Hall.

Some 100 meters from confluence Koševski Potok emerges from underground within a public park where the Sarajevo City Hall is situated, just few meters from Ali Pasha Mosque. It runs through park and enters underground once more for the last 30 or so meters before empties into Miljacka.

Koševski Potok emerges from tunnel below city streets at the confluence with the Miljacka, at Skenderija.
