King's Theatre, Melbourne

The King's Theatre was a theatre in Melbourne, Australia, located on Russell Street between Bourke Street and Little Collins Street.

Opening in 1908, it was designed by William Pitt for the theatrical entrepreneur William Anderson.[1][2]

it was major live theatre during the first half of the twentieth century, and became a cinema (under the name the Barclay) from the late 1950s until closing in 1976.[3][4]
