King's Meadow, Nottingham

King's Meadow in Nottingham was a cricket venue in use from 1751 until 1951. It was used for one first-class match in August 1791 when Nottingham Cricket Club hosted Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), who won by 10 wickets.[1][2][3] After that, it was used for minor or local games only. In 1951, the land was acquired for industrial development and the site was incorporated into the Nottingham Royal Ordnance Factory.[4]
