Khalifan, Erbil

Coordinates: 36°36′32″N 44°24′28″E / 36.6088564°N 44.4078863°E / 36.6088564; 44.4078863 Khalifan (Kurdish: خەلیفان), is a town located in Iraq's Arbil Province near Soran. It is 80 kilometres, northeast of the Arbil. The majority of populations are Kurds.

It contains 63 villages all around it and it is a mountainous area with some land for farming and its most famous places are Gali Ali Bag waterfalls and Korek mountain. Near 70,000 people are living in Khalifan. The behest clan is Surchi in the town. The religious of the people in Khalifan are Muslim.
