Sugiar (name:jaan sami)(number : 03438289186)is an administrative unit, known as Union Council, of Lower Dir District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Situated in the bank of River Swat. Historically the village was the sweet home of the pukhtoon tribes, Aka khiel(اکاخیل), Maadokhiel(مدوخیل), Khankori (خان کوری), PanzoSe(پنزوسی), Dushkhel(دوشخیل),(Including Toorkhel(طورخیل), Paikhel(پیخیل) Duraankhel(دوران خیل)) and Shabzadgan/Maingan(صاحبذادگان/میان گان). It contain many small villages including Barkalai, Kozkalai, Seerai, Bar Tangai, Main Brangola, Gula Trap, Nagram, Mayar, Qala, Kaghan, Musa-Tangai, Bangokas, Dandona, Karkanri Shaheed, Sra Khat, Terona, Koz Tangai, Sogyar, Kamala. Its population is approximately 35000 to 40000. Around 50 primary schools,15 middle schools, high schools, and one Girl higher secondary school working to enhanced male/female student in their education. Al-Farooq and Shaheen are the private schools in the area. A Jama Madrasa Khadagzai for Islamic Education also contributing their best. Most male students stop further education after completing their matriculation while female badly suffered due to the lack of educational facilities. During the military operation in Malakand division against Taliban insurgents, Khadagzai was declared clean and no such sign of Taliban. Puktoon of Khadagzai showed great Honors, Hospitality to the internally displaced peoples (IDPs), gave shelter and share all the basic needs of life with them. Agriculture is the main source income of Khadagzai residents. Some people are working as government employees especially in the education Dept and some working abroad countries like Sudia Arabia, UAE, Oman, United Kingdom, etc. Most females are housewives, some working teacher in the Education Dept like Professor Abdul Khabir and also have Ph.D. scholars like Khalid Iqbal. Khadagzai have extreme temperatures about average 43 to 45C* in June , July. The systematic irrigation provides a diverse range of fruits (plum peach), vegetables( Tomato Onion turnips and spinach), people grow wheat, maize, rice, and sugarcane in their fields.

Young's play cricket, football, volleyball, fishing, and hunting River ducks (شنغاژ) are popular for a long time. The scenic views attract visitors towards Chor rai Baba, Mayar absaar, Nagram special season of gur and gaarnai, Sogyar Kalama Taari, Khadagzai Pull and main riverside Playground.
