Kathal Paduthum Padu (lit. Strains caused by love) is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Joseph Thaliath Jr and produced under Citadel Studios. The film stars Jaishankar, Vanisri and Jayanthi in the lead roles. It was released on 7 October 1966.

Production

Kathal Paduthum Padu was directed by Joseph Thaliath Jr and produced by Dominic Joseph under the banner of Citadel Studios. Jaishankar plays the male lead while Vanisri and Jayanthi the played female leads.[1] This film marked Vanisri's first lead role in Tamil.[2]

Music

The music of the film was composed by T. R. Pappa.[1]

Release

Kathal Paduthum Padu was released on 7 October 1966,[3] and became a commercial success.[4]
