Kashmir Life is a weekly news magazine published from Srinagar, the capital city of Indian Controlled Kashmir. It is the largest selling news magazine of Kashmir
History
Kashmir Life was founded by late Jawahara Shawl in March 2009. Shawl died at the age of 48, after fighting cancer for a long time. The magazine is now owned by Shawl's brother in law Masood Hussain. Hussain is a veteran journalist who formerly worked with the Economic Times.
Kashmir Life has groomed some of the finest Journalists in Kashmir including Shams Irfan, Bilal Handoo, Shaziya Yousuf, Shaziya Khan, Riyaz-ul-Khaliq and Muhammad Raafi among others. Besides more than a dozen journalists have been trained in the Kashmir Life newsroom.
