Karim Moumban, who has Cameroonian roots, was signed for Cameroonian club UMS DE LOUM at age 17,he proceeded to play for clubs like Olympique Lyon later on in his career. Karim went on to play for his national team and represented in the FIFA 1990 World Cup when Cameroon went as far as the quarter finals as well as playing professionally in, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Costa Rica
