Kangalanchery is a small village located near Thiruvarur, India known for its paddy fields and temples.It is located six kilometres from Thiruvarur town. It is on the way to Mayiladuthurai. The village has gained popularity as of recent times, due to the presence of "Central University". Kangalancherry also houses a post office of its own ( PIN Code-610101). It also houses banks, ATM's, marriage halls. The upcoming central university has a Kendriya Vidhyalaya school.
Kangalancherry is at the confluence of the Nagoor-Kumbakonam highway and Thiruvarur -Mayiladuthurai highway. So it has gained popularity among the masses as a junction for shopping.
