KWBG (1590 AM) is a radio station licensed to serve the community of Boone, Iowa. The station primarily broadcasts a News Talk Information format. KWBG is licensed to Riverfront Broadcasting of Iowa, LLC, a subsidiary of Yankton, South Dakota-based Riverfront Broadcasting LLC.
KWBG uses a single tower during daytime operation, and switches to a two-tower antenna for nighttime operation which directs the signal toward the northwest.
KWBG covers the schools of Boone, Ogden and Madrid as well as the community college in Boone, DMACC.
KWBG is also an Iowa State Cyclone affiliate, covering Football and Men's/Women's Basketball.
The broadcast tower site is located just south of town.
