The Journal of Chinese Religions (JCR) is a leading specialist journal in the field of Chinese religions. From 1975 to 1982, it was known as Society for the Study of Chinese Religions Bulletin. It is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes articles, book reviews, and other communications on all aspects of Chinese religions. The journal is supported by the Society for the Study of Chinese Religions (SSCR) and University of California, Berkeley, and published bi-annually by Taylor & Francis.
Its editor is Professor Philip Clart (Leipzig University, Germany). Past editors include Daniel L. Overmyer, University of British Columbia, and Mark Csikszentmihalyi of the East Asian Languages and Cultures department at University of California, Berkeley.
