Joost Jozef van de Brug (born 24 June 1982), professionally known as Joost Vandebrug, is a Dutch photographer, video director[1] and documentary film director[2][3][4] based in London. He is also creative director and founder of the kids wear label Jumping Dog[5] and co-founder of the Cinci Lei project.[6]
Life and work
His book, Cinci Lei,[7][8] published by Dust Magazine,[9] is about a group of street children in Bucharest that he calls the Lost Boys.[8][10][11][12][13]
In July 2018, Vandebrug released his first feature-length documentary Bruce Lee and the Outlaw[14][15] , which was premiered at Sheffield Doc/Fest and is currently screened at several film festivals around the world[16]. The film is produced by Grain media and executive producer Noomi Rapace [17]. It was shot over 7 years and features some of the same protagonists as his book Cinci Lei [18].
