Sir John Byron MP (1562–1623) was an English nobleman, politician, and knight. He was Member of Parliament for Nottinghamshire in 1597.
Life
Byron was the son and heir of Sir John Byron (died 1600), who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth I of England in 1579 and his wife, Alice Strelley.
Family
He married Anne Molyneux and had one daughter and ten sons, including some Cavalier commanders in the English Civil War: John Byron, 1st Baron Byron, Richard Byron, 2nd Baron Byron, Sir Robert Byron, Sir Philip Byron, and Sir Thomas Byron.
