Ko Jin-young (Korean: 고진영, born 7 July 1995), also known as Jin-Young Ko is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the LPGA of Korea Tour. She has won four times on the LPGA of Korea and has featured inside the top 30 in the Women's World Golf Rankings. Ko is best known for finishing runner up to fellow South Korean golfer Inbee Park at the 2015 Women's British Open, after losing a three stroke lead on the back 9 at the Ailsa Course of Trump Turnberry. Ko famously only met her caddie, a young local Jeff Brighton, the day before the Open and had never played links golf before. Ko has endorsements deals with Hite, Bridgestone Golf, LPGA Golf Wear, Jeju SamDaSoo & Nikon.
After winning the LPGA KEB–Hana Bank Championship, a tournament co-sanctioned by the LPGA of Korea Tour and the LPGA Tour, Ko took up LPGA Tour membership for 2018.[1]
