The train was announced in the railway budget 2009–2010 by railway minister Mamata Banerjee. The train number is 11265/11266. This train has great importance specially for the passengers travelling from Jabalpur to Ambikapur as time taken to reach Ambikapur has reduced drastically.

Departure and arrival

This train runs tri-weekly as announced in the railway budget 2009. The train will depart from Jabalpur as origin and will reach up to Ambikapur. The train departs from Jabalpur every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 14:15 and reach Ambikpaur at 23:05. From Ambikpur the train departs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:10 and reach Jabalpur at 14:55
