J. Walker (full name and dates of birth and death unknown) was an English first-class cricketer who made one appearance in first-class cricket.

Walker's only appearance in first-class cricket was for Manchester Cricket Club (aka Lancashire) in 1849 against Sheffield Cricket Club (aka Yorkshire) at the Hyde Park cricket ground in Sheffield. The match is often referred to as the inaugural "Roses Match".[1] Batting in the middle-order, Walker scored 3 runs in Lancashire's first-innings, before being dismissed by Bernard Wake, while in their second-innings he ended the innings unbeaten on 6, with Yorkshire winning the match by 5 wickets.[2]
